Our Mission
The mission of NORMUN 2026 centers on fostering global understanding and collaboration by simulating the United Nations' diplomatic processes. Participants engage in discussions on international issues to develop practical diplomatic skills and a deeper appreciation for the complexities of international relations.
Our Vision
The vision of NORMUN 2026 is to inspire future leaders to actively contribute to global peace, security, and development by encouraging the next generation to explore solutions to contemporary world challenges through debate and teamwork.
What Guides Us
We believe that meaningful solutions emerge when diverse voices come together. NORMUN creates a space where students from different backgrounds collaborate toward common goals.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards of honesty and fairness. Delegates are expected to engage authentically, represent positions accurately, and uphold the spirit of diplomacy.
Understanding the human dimension of global issues is essential. We encourage delegates to consider the perspectives of those affected by the policies they debate, building compassionate leaders.
The Experience
Model United Nations is a simulation of the UN General Assembly and other multilateral bodies. In Model UN, students step into the shoes of ambassadors from UN member states to debate current issues on the organization’s agenda. While playing their role as ambassadors, student delegates make speeches, prepare draft, resolutions, negotiate with allies and adversaries, resolve conflicts, and navigate the Model UN conference rules of procedure – all in the interest of mobilizing international cooperation to resolve problems that affect countries all over the world.” — UNA-USA
